Bottega veneta has always had a quiet sophistication, but this season, creative director tomas maier added a bit of oomph with sexy draping and architectural details. the looks included day dresses in many variations: jersey or silk charmeuse wraps, mockneck, and cowl necks, or tweed and textured sheaths; boxy double breasted jackets, or wool with velvet belts.
Pantsuits had standaway shoulders or double folded hems and were paired with pleated ankle length pants, and evening wear was sleek and elegant. the colour palette included gorgeous lilacs, rust, peacock blue, and olive green. and with this being bottega, the perfect finishing touch were the bags and shoes. another collection, like jil sander, which was well thought out and caters to the modern woman's every need.
