We've discover Riot Tuxedo from States on 2009, since then, Riot Tuxedo is one of the coolest street brand we ever discover. Therefore, we drop an email to Creative/Founder Brian to get the inspiration.

1) Can you tell us about what inspired you to start Riot Tuxedo?

Youthful spirit

2) What is your philosophy behind the brand?

"Your not the boss of me"

3) Does Riot Tuxedo reflect your own personal style? If yes, in what ways?

Youthful spirit. I'm my own boss

4) Where did the name Riot Tuxedo come from? What is peoples perception of the name Riot Tuxedo?

It rolls well off the tongue. Not sure, it's open to many interpretations. Tuxedo cats are cool.

5) What is the future plan for RT?

 Just havin' fun with it...

6) Heard that you are into popular culture, what do you hate most and like most about pop culture?

I do find it an interesting topic. Not really sure what defines it really, I should Google it! Googling, is that Pop Culture? Im kinda addicted to that!...Cell phones/texting are outta control...twitter/facebook. Hate how Pop unavoidably gets into my head though-like that I can name a child of Brangelina!...What is it called when you put two words/names together like that? Annoying!

I liked it -Pop Culture- way more when I was younger, like most I guess. Now I dig through the trash like everybody else, pick and choose, there are treasures to be found, mostly trash...sometimes thats good. I think I have better taste than anyone!

7) what kind of music do you listen to?

Well what have you got?

8)Any fashion label that you like most?

Nah

9) Any last shout to the world?

Maternal Disaster

Maternal Disaster, a Bandung label, blacken brand with rebel attitude. This a local cult brand that combined crust metal punk music and fashion into one. Check it out the interview:-

1) Can you tell us about what have inspired you to start Maternal Disaster?

Very inspiring for us is everything that is paradoxical and ironic, because there where the essence of concrete reality. and when applied into a form of course desire will be a very kick ass

2) What is your philosophy behind the the brand?

The philosophy is like old hacienda building a cathedral on top of old debris. We make history, hopefully a lot of money.

3) Does Maternal Disaster reflect your own personal style? If yes, in what ways?

Yes, it reflects all that we think tastes great. From various things, of a trivial everyday, music, movies, books, until things mystical story.

 4) Where did the name Maternal Disaster come from?

Derived from a friend, he was a first originator of the name. Now he has the most dangerous hc / punk bands in Bandung  named Milisi Kecoa.Hopefully people perceive our brand as an epidemic of infectious, of course in terms of being popular 'magnum opus'.

5) What is the future plan for Maternal Disaster?

Our next plans will collaborate with Astronautboys, most biting local artist's
when creating iconic characters.

    6) Heard that you are anti popular culture, what do you hate most and like most about pop culture?
Actually we didn't hate popular culture, because when we talk about culture must have an excess or an exceeding of the culture itself. possible sentences that fit the feel of allergies, against all forms of popular culture, examples of the most cool about popular culture read Umberto Eco 'jaunt in hiperrealitas'
    7) what kind of music do listen to? Any fashion label do you like most? All the music we listen to, from Black Metal, Grindcore, sludge / drone / doom, punk / hc,new wave music, noise, etc. But we are currently listening now is the music like Khanate, Corrupted and Otesanek. The reason they really reflect the soft side of a very evil
         8) Any last shout to the world?

Like the quote from Gladwell Malcollm 'Tipping Point' A person who has the idea of excess when handling the right lever would have been able to shift the position of earth in his position.

TESAAR - Beautiful Dutch Princess

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

1) Can you tell us about what have inspired you to start Tesaar?

Me and Sara were always into fashion. We first started taking pictures of each other and doing photoshoots together. But we wanted to show the world our fashion and photos so we thought, why not make a blog? It would be the perfect occasion to show our creativity and love for clothing. So that's kind of our inspiration, because we saw other blogs on the internet and loved them.

2) What is your philosophy behind the the blog?

Sara is my first cousin, so we are not only friends but also family. We thought it would be nice to have a blog together. We want to show other people what we wear and show them we feel great in it even though it's not always the thing you would expect. We want to show our passion and our love for photographing. My own philosophy is that you can make everything true if you just work hard for it.

3) Does Tesaar reflect your own personal style? If yes, in what ways?

Yes it does, in any possible way. It shows are style in clothing but also our style in other things we like (like food, haha). We try not to post too much of our thoughts since we don't want it to be a blog about our life, but about our style. But I think that by just reading Tesaar you can quite understand how we think and stuff.

4) Where did the name Tesaar come from? how does the people perceived Tesaar?

Haha, it's funny you ask. Well, it's actually a mix of our names. Tess + Sara. And I call Sara always Saar, so we had our name: Tesaar. We thought it was orginial though mysterious, because most of the people don't really get our name at the beginning.

5) What is the future plan for Tesaar?

Well me and Sara both love fashion, and I would love to do something in the fashion business later. We both love the posting and the blog so I hope it will excist for a long time, and we hope it will get more popular. But even if it wouldn't become popular, we would still continue with the blog, just because of our love for fashion and writing.

6) Heard that you are into travelling, is there any country you like most and hate most?

Yes that's right! We both love travelling. I personally love London and Turkey. I went to london a couple of times and it is just amazing. The whole atmosphere there + all the nice (vintage) shops there makes this a perfect city to me. The building are lovely too! And well, Turkey is just an extremely gorgeous country, always sunny and the people there are so kind!

7) What kind of music do listen to? Any fashion label do you like most?

Sara and I both love The Kooks and Laura Jansen. Sara has got an amazing sense for nice music and she does hiphop dancing too. I myself listen to everything I like, I also play a little bit of piano and I love the songs of the movie Amelie.

About the fashion labels, I love Acne and Alexander Wang. Amazing, clean and sophisticated. But, H&M (which may not even be a real fashion label) kicks ass too!

8) Any last shout to the world?

Hell yeah! I really want to say that before I actually started Tesaar I was so insecure of myself. But when I started to wear what I liked, I felt so much more comfortable! Now I feel great and shine everyday.

From Turin, Italy to the world, we present MNMUR. The brand that inspired us when we met Laura/ Marcos at Camden Market last month. Lovely couple with great vision of sustainable future fashion:

1) Can you tell us about what have inspired you to start Mnmur ?

We caught the inspiration while we were travelling around Europe.
We have always been attracted to those places where people contribute their creativity to make their surroundings beautiful,

we really wanted to express 100% of our skills and creativity, we both wanted to create something who reflect a bit of our time, and once we discovered you can use old bike tube to create something unique, very strong and so sexy, we couldn't wait to start create something our own.

We both didn't have any experience with sewing machine and all this stuffs you need to know to create a bag or a wallet, so we started with really simple design and from the first experiment a whole world of possibilities was in our hands.

2) What is your philosophy behind the brand?

Mnmur is a eco-design project that conjugates environmental conservation and creativity. Mnmur employs exclusively recycled inner bike tubes and transforms and recreates them in new objects. In the same breath mnmur express our wish for give life to our ideas, our creativity.

3) Does Mnmur reflect your own personal style? If yes, in what ways?

Yes, mnmur reflects our personal style. Our products have been created following the idea of simplicity, practicality.

Our job was born by the desire to express ourselves, our creativity , imagination, our products reflects our ideas. Mnmur is the result of a project that includes many ideas, and one of these is our idea of style.

4) Where did the name Mnmur come from? how does the people perceived Mnmur?

We were looking for a cool name, somethig wicked and easy, but all the words were already been taken, so we invented a new word! Mnmur is a fantasy word, but it has partial correspondance with the word minimal. This is in fact a feature of our products. It is pronounced “minimur” but it is written without “i”. The reason of this choice is to give a graphic effect. Many people read it like "mon amur" wich is not that bad :)

5) What is the future plan for Mnmur?

There are many ideas that we would like to realise, at the moment our aim is to improve better and better the quality of our products, we are working hard to spread our work to a bigger audience, we hope soon to open our first shop in our city Turin (Italy). In the same time we love to experiment new materials and trying new design, watching around and start new collaboration with people with our passion.

6) Where and how to purchase the Mnmur products?

Soon there will be the possibility to purchase our products on line, but at the moment people write us and ask what they are interested to buy. Mnmur is presents in many shops in Turin (Italy), but we hope that there will be the possibility to arrive also in other cities and countries.

7) Any last shout to the world?

Emmet Garage Sales Interviews Anti Sweden

Emmet Garage Sales - a night with Anti Sweden talks about beauty of darkness

How and why did you start Anti Sweden?

We started Anti Sweden as a tribute to the Norwegian Black Metal Scene, and to create a brand that challenged our neighbors in Sweden´s domination of scandinavian jeans.
Using our skills as designers and having worked with apparel brands before, we wanted to create something different than the normal apparel brands.

Where did the name Anti Sweden come from?

The name was chosen because it is defining us as a anti established brand and a tongue in cheek towards the Swedish lifestyle brands known from Sweden as Acne and Cheap Monday.

How big is your first collection?

We do limited editions, not regular apparel collections, we have one unisex model called 666 where we have worked together with San Diego based illustrator justin Bartlett, we are coming up with a girls model, and a t-shirt collection and also looking into some jewelry. We are also currently working with artists to do our next limited edition, it will all be inspired by black metal culture in a fashion context.

What are your future plans?

To do exclusive co-works with people who are inspired by the aesthetics of darkness. To produce limited editions that allows us to keep our signature and don´t adapt to the mainstream culture.

What makes Anti Sweden different from other jeans brands?

All the above, we have a strong history founded on the cult scene originated from Norway. If jeans are to be rebellious again we will make it happen!
